Term 3

Welcome back to a new term.  Following an enjoyable holiday, the children will be rested and ready to work hard on the Year three units of work.  This term is a nine week term. Here is an overview of what the Year three teachers will be covering:

Religion:.

Science: The children are going to investigate what causes shadows.   They will  also conduct experiments that compare the temperature of different types of materials left in the Sun.

History:  The children will research how the Italians and Chinese have influenced Australian culture. They will also compare Christmas in Finland and Australia.

Geography:  Australian states and territories and the corresponding capital cities.
                     How the climate affects activities in different countries depending on their geographical location.  We are particularly looking at Finland and Australia.
                      Label continents of the world and locate Italy, China and Finland.
